Data Deletion

The short version

Tiny Wonders stores almost nothing about you outside your own phone. To delete what little does exist on a server (your beta email, or anonymous analytics events), email [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request". I will respond within 7 days and confirm once it's done.

What data exists in the first place

Most of what Tiny Wonders captures stays on your phone and never touches any server. There are exactly three places where data related to you could exist outside your device:

1. Your photos, videos, captions and child profiles

Stored only in the app's private storage on your phone. Nothing leaves your device. To delete this data, simply uninstall the app — Android removes it along with the app. I have no copy, no backup, no way to recover it.

2. Your email address (only if you signed up for the beta)

If you submitted the beta signup form on this site, your email address is stored at Formspree so I can send you an invite link. I do not subscribe you to a newsletter or share the address with anyone.

3. Anonymous in-app usage events

Unless you turned the toggle off in Settings → Help improve Tiny Wonders, the app sends anonymous product events to PostHog (e.g. "a recap was exported", "the share button was tapped"). These events are tied to a randomly generated device ID — not your name, email, or any account identifier. Because the events are anonymous, I usually cannot pick out "your" events from the rest unless you give me the device ID.

How to request deletion

Send an email to [email protected] with the subject line "Data deletion request". You can use the template below — copy, paste, fill in whichever fields apply to you, and send.

Subject: Data deletion request Hi, I'd like you to delete any data you hold about me. -- Email I signed up with (if any): -- Anonymous device ID from the app (if any): -- Please delete: [ ] email signup [ ] analytics events [ ] both Thanks!

Where to find your anonymous device ID

If you want me to try to delete the analytics events tied to your phone specifically, I need the anonymous device ID PostHog assigned you. Right now the app doesn't show this on a Settings screen yet — you can either:

A "View my anonymous ID" button is on the roadmap so this friction goes away.
